Adopt-a-trail System -- Soaring Eagle Park
Trail users. Do you know Soaring Eagle Park? It is a 640-acre King County park, with an amazing trail sytem, including a 2-hour loop to Beaver Lake Park in Sammamish, returning via the Hazel Wolf wetlands, which is owned and managed by Forterra.
I propose that we work with the King County, Sammamish and Forerra to steward this trail system. Note that Soaring Eagle Park has a nice setup for haul-ins.

Spring is coming to the Great Pacific Northwest! Please see the map of the Hazel Wolf wetlands pedestrian/equestrian trails, which lead to Soaring Eagle Park (miles of trails) and the Beaver Lake Preserve.

A vital link to a 2-hour trail loop in Sammamish has been opened up. Mary Hall and I cleared blackberry and scotch broom to open up the Hazel Wolf Wetlands trail that connects to the SE Main Street pedestrian/equestrian trail, which leads to Soaring Eagle Park. From Soaring Eagle Park, one can get to the Beaver Lake Preserve, from there, along Beaver Lake Drive to Beaver Lake Park, and from there, down 248th to the entrance to the Hazel Wolf Wetlands in the Windsor Greens neighborhood. These are multi-use trails!

Welcome to The Sammamish Saddle Club's community blogsite!
The horse way of life on the Sammamish Plateau has been alive and strong for many years and we hope to find ways to make it stronger. One way is for us to align as a community of horse enthusiasts through our club. Horses have a wonderful way of bringing people together. Those of us who own horses know the rich life lessons that horses can teach us and the strong bonds that we are able to make with other horse lovers.
If you are interested in having your horse endeavor linked, please email us and give us your website address and we can include you on our Community page. We have a nice list going and would be happy to add your link.
